Your Story Is Someone Else's Lifeline
“And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” - Revelation 12:11
Your testimony is a weapon. The story of what God has done in your life has the power to break through walls that sermons sometimes cannot. When you share what God has brought you through, you give someone else permission to believe that He can do the same for them. You are not just telling a story. You are declaring the faithfulness of God in a way that is uniquely yours and uniquely powerful.
Many of us have been told, directly or indirectly, that our story is not significant enough to share. Maybe your testimony does not include a dramatic before-and-after moment. Maybe it is quieter, more gradual. But do not let that silence you. The neighbor who is quietly losing hope does not need a dramatic story. They need a real one. They need to hear that God shows up in ordinary lives and does extraordinary things. That is your story. Do not keep it to yourself.
Write out a brief version of your testimony in three parts: where you were before Christ, how you came to faith, and what God has done in your life since. Practice sharing it in two minutes or less. Then look for an opportunity this week to share it with someone who needs to hear it.
God, thank You for my story. Every part of it, even the parts I am not proud of, has been used by You. Give me the courage to share it. Let my testimony be a lifeline for someone who is drowning. Use my life for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
