You Are Not Alone In This
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10
Sometimes the most important thing someone can say to you is simply this: you are not alone. Life has a way of making us feel isolated in our struggles. We scroll through social media and see everyone else’s highlight reel while we are living our behind-the-scenes. We walk into a room full of people and still feel completely unseen. That loneliness can be one of the heaviest burdens we carry.
But God spoke these words to Israel in a season of deep vulnerability. They were facing enemies, uncertainty, and the very real possibility of failure. And into that moment, God did not give them a strategic plan or a motivational speech. He gave them Himself. “I am with you.” That is the promise. He is not a distant deity watching from a safe remove. He is present, He is personal, and He is actively holding you up. You may feel like you are barely keeping it together, but His righteous right hand is underneath you right now. You will not fall.
Today, reach out to someone in your life who you know is walking through a hard season. Send a text, make a call, or show up at their door. Be the reminder to them that they are not alone, and let that act of love remind your own heart of the same truth.
Father, thank You for being a God who draws near. When loneliness creeps in and I feel like no one sees what I am going through, remind me that You are right here. Strengthen me today. Hold me up when I feel like I am falling. I am so grateful I do not have to face this alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
