Who's Really Waiting

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” - Isaiah 1:19

Sometimes we convince ourselves that we are just waiting on God. Waiting on Him to open the door. Waiting on Him to answer the prayer. Waiting on Him to move. But what if He is actually waiting on you?

It is easy to think we are ready for what God has promised. We say we are prepared, that we have the faith, that we are waiting patiently for His timing. But in reality, some of us are not waiting on God at all. God is waiting on us. Waiting on us to let go of the sin we have been clinging to for years. Waiting on us to take the step of faith He already told us to take. Waiting on us to stop hesitating and finally walk in obedience.

The blessing is not being withheld because God is distant or distracted. The delay may not be about timing at all. It might be about alignment. You cannot step into what God has for you if you are not willing to walk in the life He has called you to live. He loves you too much to hand you something you are not ready to carry. He is not going to elevate you into a place your character cannot sustain.

Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” There is a connection between obedience and overflow. Between surrender and the supernatural. If you are holding back pieces of your life from God, why would He pour out something greater when you are not prepared to steward it?

Today is not about asking when God will show up. Maybe today is about asking what God is asking of you. What has He already told you to do that you keep putting off? What area of your life needs to come under His Lordship for real? It might be that your next breakthrough is not waiting on Him. He is waiting on you.
