“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction” - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Pain does not ask permission. It crashes into your life uninvited. But even when it feels random, it is not pointless. God never wastes pain. He does not cause all pain, but He is more than capable of using it. And not just to shape you, but to serve others.

There are people all around you who are silently battling things you do not see. What if your scars became someone else’s survival guide? What if your darkest chapter became the reason someone else found hope to keep going?

God often works through empathy. And empathy is rarely formed in easy seasons. It is born in the nights you cried yourself to sleep. In the moments you were misunderstood. In the times you questioned if you would ever make it through. And now, on the other side of those moments, God gives you eyes to see pain in others you never noticed before.

It may feel like your story disqualifies you. But what if it actually qualifies you in ways nothing else could? Who better to walk with someone through grief than the one who has grieved? Who better to sit with someone in anxiety than the one who has fought through it and found peace?

You do not need a stage or a microphone to make a difference. Sometimes the most powerful ministry is quietly showing up in someone else’s storm and reminding them they are not alone. That God is still good. That they are going to make it. And that message hits differently when it comes from someone who has actually walked through the fire.

You do not have to be fully healed to help. Just honest. Just available. Just willing to say, “Me too.” Your pain might not make sense right now, but it can carry purpose. And when you offer it back to God, He does something only He can do. He redeems it. And through it, you become a vessel of comfort, healing, and hope.
