“If they will not believe you,” God said, “or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign.” - Exodus 4:8

In Exodus 4:8, God told Moses that if the first sign, his staff turning into a serpent, wasn’t enough to convince the people of God’s power, He would give Moses a second sign: the cloak, which, when placed on the ground, turned into leprosy and then was healed by God’s command. This sign, the cloak, was a symbol of God’s anointing, revealing to Moses and the people that God’s power was with him.

For you, this might not be a literal cloak or a staff, but God still provides confirmation of His anointing in your life. When you step out in faith, when you follow His calling, sometimes the first step doesn’t immediately seem to work or make sense. You might face setbacks or doubt, and others may not understand. But God is faithful to show you that His hand is on you. It might come through a change of heart in someone, an unexpected opportunity, or a moment of clarity that confirms you’re on the right track.
