The Harvest Of Faithfulness
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” - Galatians 6:9
Faithfulness is not glamorous. It does not always get applause. It is the quiet, consistent choice to keep doing the right thing when no one is watching and when the results are not yet visible. But Paul promises that there is a harvest coming for those who do not give up. The seeds of faithfulness you are planting today, in your family, your workplace, your neighborhood, your church, will produce a harvest in due season.
Do not let the slowness of the process convince you that nothing is happening. A seed in the ground looks like nothing for a long time. But beneath the surface, roots are forming, and life is building. God is at work in the unseen places of your faithfulness. Keep going. Do not quit. The harvest is coming, and it will be worth every moment you chose to keep doing good even when it was hard.
Think about one area where you have been faithful for a long time without seeing visible results. Recommit to that faithfulness today and ask God to renew your vision for the harvest He is preparing.
Lord, help me not grow weary. When the results are slow and the work feels thankless, remind me that You see every act of faithfulness and that nothing done in Your name is wasted. I will not give up. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
