Surrendering to God's Best
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11
I want to start by revisiting yesterday’s question: Are you ready for God to do something big in your life? If you want God to do something big in your life, the first thing you are going to have to do is surrender to Him.
Surrendering to God means letting go of our own plans and desires and yielding to His perfect purpose and plan for our lives. It’s about relinquishing control and trusting that what God has for us is infinitely better than anything we could ever do for ourselves.
It’s easy to hold tightly to our own agendas, isn’t it? We have dreams, goals, and aspirations, and we want to see them come to fruition. But here’s the thing: God’s plans for us far surpass anything we could ever imagine.
He sees the bigger picture, the greater purpose, and He desires to lead us down paths of abundance and fulfillment. But in order to experience God’s best, we must first surrender our own plans and desires at His feet.
This doesn’t mean we give up on our dreams or stop pursuing our goals. It means we align our desires with God’s will and trust Him to guide us every step of the way. It means we let go of the need to control every outcome and instead, place our faith in His perfect timing and provision.
I want to challenge you today to examine your heart and consider what areas of your life you need to surrender to God. Is it your career? Your relationships? Your future plans? Whatever it may be, trust that God’s plans for you are far greater than anything you could ever imagine.
Surrendering to God’s best may require courage and faith, but the rewards are immeasurable. So let go of your own agenda and embrace God’s perfect plan for your life. He knows the plans He has for you, and they are plans to prosper you and give you hope and a future.
