Reflect On The Battle And Rest In The Victor

October 18, 2026•1 min read

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 - Corinthians 15:57

The battle is real. This past week, you faced fear, anxiety, weariness, and the challenge of trusting God when things did not go the way you hoped. That is not a sign of weak faith. That is the reality of living in a fallen world while holding onto an eternal hope. But here is the truth that changes everything: the victory is already won. Jesus walked out of that tomb, and every enemy that stands against you has already been defeated at the cross.

You are not fighting for victory. You are fighting from victory. That is a completely different posture. Rest today in the reality that the God who raised Jesus from the dead is the same God who is at work in your life right now. You do not have to have it all figured out. You just have to trust the One who already does.

Take time today to journal about the ways God showed up for you this week, even in the hard moments. Celebrate the small victories. Acknowledge the growth. And go into the coming week with your eyes fixed on the Victor.

Jesus, thank You for winning the battle I could not win on my own. I rest today in the victory You secured at the cross. I am not fighting for victory. I am standing in it. Thank You. Strengthen me for the week ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
