“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10

Life’s obstacles can feel overwhelming. It can be your natural instinct to put your head down and figure it out on your own. It’s easy to hear phrases like, “God is with you,” and know them in your head, but living as though they’re true is another thing entirely.

God’s promise in Isaiah 41:10 is clear-He is with you, He will strengthen you, and He will help you. Yet, how often do you try to carry the burden alone, relying on your own strength and strategies to fix the problem? Sometimes, the biggest obstacle isn’t the situation you’re facing but your own unwillingness to step aside and let God work.

Think about Peter walking on the water toward Jesus. As long as his focus was on Christ, he could do the impossible. But the moment he became consumed by the wind and waves, he began to sink. Jesus was right there, ready to help, but Peter’s fear and self-reliance momentarily took over.

God doesn’t want you to handle life’s struggles alone. He wants to strengthen you, guide you, and work through your situation. But you have to stop trying to do it all yourself. It’s not about giving up, it’s about surrendering. Surrendering doesn’t mean you stop putting in effort, it means you trust God’s power more than your own.

The truth is, God is already with you. He hasn’t left you, and He never will. The question is, will you let Him take the lead? Will you stop trying to figure it all out on your own and let Him work in ways only He can?

Whatever you’re facing today, remember that God is not only present but also ready to help. Step out of your own way, surrender your plans, and lean into His strength. He won’t just walk with you through the obstacle, He’ll carry you if He needs to. Let Him.
