God Is Calling You to Bold Obedience
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” - Joshua 1:9
Most people want the will of God without the risk of obedience. But there is no such thing as safe faith. God’s calling rarely fits neatly into your comfort zone. Bold obedience is not reckless, but it is rarely easy. It might ask you to forgive someone who hurt you. To stay put when you want to run. To leave comfort when you’d rather stay. To give when it feels like you have nothing extra.
All throughout Scripture, God calls ordinary people into moments of extraordinary obedience. These were not people who had full clarity when they obeyed, but they did have confidence in the One who called them.
That is the difference maker. Bold obedience is not about your confidence in yourself; it is about your confidence in God. It is trusting that His voice is worth following, even when the destination is unknown. It is saying yes before you have all the details. And it is that kind of obedience that unlocks the next level of what God wants to do in your life.
Maybe what feels like a barrier in your life is really just a moment where bold obedience is required. Maybe your next step is not waiting for more confirmation, but waiting for more courage. Obedience is not always glamorous, and it will not always be applauded, but it will always be worth it.
When God says move, move. When He says speak, speak. When He says give, give. His calling is not for the faint of heart, but it is for those who trust His heart. Will you play it safe, or will you walk in bold obedience?
