God Has Picked You
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.” - Jeremiah 1:5
As we discussed yesterday, when God calls you to something significant for your life, it can be easy to feel like someone else would be better for the job. We often look around and see others who seem more qualified, more talented, or more experienced, and we wonder why God chose us. But here’s the truth: God has specifically called YOU. He has a unique plan and purpose for your life, and there is nobody better for the job than you.
Think about that for a moment. The God of the universe, who knows everything about you-your strengths, your weaknesses, your dreams, and even your doubts-has chosen you to carry out His plan. He hasn’t made a mistake. He hasn’t overlooked someone else who might be better. He has created you for this moment, for this purpose, and He has perfectly equipped you for what He is calling you to do.
When God called Moses, Moses doubted his abilities and asked God to pick someone else. But God didn’t listen. He didn’t need someone else. He had chosen Moses for a specific task, and He knew exactly what He was doing. The same is true for you. You may feel unqualified or unsure, but God’s call on your life is not based on your perfection or your qualifications. It’s based on His perfect plan and His ability to work through you.
God has given you everything you need to fulfill His purpose. He knows what’s inside you, and He knows what you are capable of, more than you even know yourself. There’s no one else who can fill the role He has for you. Your experiences, your gifts, your heart, everything about you has been shaped for this moment.
So, when you’re tempted to doubt or wish that someone else would take the lead, remember: God has picked YOU. He has anointed you, equipped you, and called you for such a time as this. Trust Him, step into your purpose, and know that there is no one better for the job than you because God made you for it.
