“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” - Matthew 28:19-20

The Great Commission is not a suggestion for the spiritually gifted few. It is a command given to every follower of Jesus. You are called to make disciples. Not just converts. Not just church attenders. Disciples: people who are learning to follow Jesus in every area of their lives. That requires intentionality, relationship, and a willingness to invest in other people’s spiritual growth.

Discipleship does not require a seminary degree or a platform. It requires availability. It requires sitting across a table from someone younger in faith and saying, “Let me walk with you.” It requires being honest about your own journey, including the struggles, so that others can see that following Jesus is real and worth it. The harvest is plentiful and the workers are still few. You are one of the workers. Go.

Is there someone in your life who is newer in faith or who is not yet following Jesus? Ask God to open a door for you to invest in that person this month. Consider inviting them to church, starting a Bible study together, or simply committing to pray for them by name every day.

Lord, give me a heart for the people You are pursuing. Help me see the harvest around me and give me the courage to go. I want to be a disciple-maker. Show me who to invest in and give me the words to say. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
