“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” - Ephesians 3:20

When you are in a long season of preparation, it is easy to grow tired and start settling. You pray for God to open big doors, but when it takes longer than you hoped, you may start thinking, maybe this smaller door is enough. Maybe this is all I’m meant for.

Here’s what you need to hear today: do not settle for less than what God has promised you. His preparation may feel slow, but that is because what He is building is not small. God’s plans for you are bigger than what you can imagine, and the reason it takes time is because He is stretching your faith to match the size of the blessing.

One of the greatest dangers in a season of waiting is that you begin to lower your expectations just to feel some sense of progress. You might accept a job, a relationship, or an opportunity, not because it is God’s best, but because it is available right now. You start thinking, this is good enough, even when you know deep down God called you to more.

But settling too soon can actually keep you from stepping into the fullness of what God has for you. Remember, His timing is perfect. What He is preparing for you is not just about today. It is about legacy, purpose, and His glory. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than all we could ask or imagine. But if you want to see the “more,” you have to be willing to wait for it.

Do not confuse delay with denial. God is not withholding good from you, He is positioning you for greater. And in the meantime, trust that every closed door, every pause, and every “not yet” is His way of protecting you from settling for something less than His best.

Stay patient. Stay expectant. Stay faithful. God’s plan is still in motion, and when it comes together, you will be grateful you waited for His more instead of settling for your enough.
