“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you” - Luke 6:38

Too often, we wait to bless others until life feels stable. We tell ourselves, “When I have more money… when I’m less stressed… when this season is easier… then I’ll help, then I’ll encourage, then I’ll give.” The problem is, if you wait for the “perfect” time, it will never come. There will always be another bill, another challenge, another reason to hold back.

But something powerful happens when you step out in faith and decide to be a blessing in the middle of your poverty, your pain, or your problems. You start shifting the atmosphere around you. You open the door for God’s anointing to work through you in ways you can’t imagine. That kind of generosity, whether it’s with your time, encouragement, or resources, isn’t just about what you give. It’s about who you trust.

The people in your life who don’t yet know Jesus expect you to praise God when everything is going right. They understand mountaintop worship. What they don’t expect is to see you still giving, still encouraging, still serving, and still blessing others when you’re in the valley. That’s when your faith becomes a testimony. That’s when your life preaches louder than your words.

Anyone can bless others from a place of abundance. But when you choose to bless from a place of lack, you declare that your source is not your bank account, your circumstances, or your comfort; it’s God. And He always supplies more than enough.

The question is, what will you do when you face adversity? What will you do when the bottom drops out? Will you close off and wait for life to get easier, or will you trust God enough to keep blessing others even in your own struggle? That’s where faith becomes real, and that’s where God’s glory shines the brightest.
