Opportunities to encounter God rarely come wrapped in the ways we expect. They often arrive quietly, disguised as interruptions or inconveniences. The problem is that most of us are too busy to notice. Our schedules are packed, our minds are distracted, and our hearts are preoccupied. We pray for God to move, yet when He does, we are often too consumed with our own plans to recognize His presence right in front of us.

Busyness can make us blind. When our days are filled with constant motion, we start to miss the subtle ways God is speaking, leading, and inviting us closer. Familiarity does the same thing. We can become so used to hearing about God that we stop listening for Him. We attend church, read Scripture, or pray out of habit, but our hearts are somewhere else. The danger is not that we reject God’s presence, but that we overlook it.

Every day brings moments that hold eternal weight. A conversation that could encourage someone. A nudge in your spirit to pray for a friend. A decision that could change the direction of your life. If we are not careful, we can rush through these divine opportunities and miss what God wanted to do through us. His presence is often quiet, but it is never absent.

You may not realize it, but God could be standing at the door of your day waiting to be welcomed in. He may be calling you to slow down long enough to see the people in front of you or to hear the prompting in your heart. Do not let busyness or familiarity cause you to miss Him. Divine moments are rarely convenient, but they are always significant. Today, live aware. Look for the quiet knock of God’s presence in the ordinary places, and when it comes, make room.
